richard kinsey E-mail me at:rszkisney91@verizon.net My statement is simple: "Say it with a giggle". On the surface my work seems whimsical & silly but if one looks a wee bit closer at the acrylic, pen, ink and watercolour pieces, you just may see a commentary on the human condition or more silliness. My artistic influences span the gamut of Peter Max, James Thurber, William Steig, Richard Stine, John Lennon, Maurice Sendak, Hieronymus Bosch and many more. My greatest influence is my father, cartoonist Albert Arlo Kinsey. My pieces have been exhibited in many shows and are in collections all over world. I am also a published illustrator, having illustrated five books, one having been published by Harper's San Francisco. I have also designed a series of published cards and I do large fantasy pieces as a mural artist. I am probably best known for my stage work as an award winning actor & singer. I played the role of Javert in Les Miserables internationally, including Broadway. I have also been featured as a lead in may other plays, musicals & films. My involvement in the performing arts is reflected in my visual art. "The canvass is a stage as well". What does the future hold? More of the same and many brand new ideas, characters, visual adventures and of course silliness. I also adore taking commissions for both paintings & murals.
