The paintings below represent a cross section of work spanning a period of about ten to twelve years. During this time, I was making a concerted effort to create large watercolour and mix-media works utilizing my cartoonish-illustration style coupled with ancient and arcane symbols. I would also create short stories or fantastic descriptions to accompany each painting. Obviously, some of these pieces are not filled with symbolism. They’re just whimsical. Perhaps the greatest truths are whimsical? my cat thinks so. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge them:
